Privacy Policy

Eudara Inc. (“Eudara”, “we”, “us”) takes privacy seriously.  We are accountable for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (“BC PIPA”).

1. Collection and Use of Personal Information
What personal information we collect and how we use it depends on the nature of your interaction with Eudara’s sites and services:

(a) when you are using our websites:

  • Eudara uses cookies and similar technologies including, but not limited to, web beacons and flash cookies (collectively “Cookies”) to provide certain functionality and to collect information, including personal data, from you.  Cookies allow us to authenticate your access to site content, and tailor how that content is displayed.  By adjusting your browser settings, you may refuse to use Cookies, though this may limit your ability to use our websites’ full functionality; and
  • we use third-party web analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to track your IP address, and your usage of our websites including the web pages you visit in order to improve our websites’ design, usability, and performance.  For more information about Google Analytics, you can visit https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.  You can prevent Google’s collection and use of this traffic data by installing the plug-in available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout;

(b) when you register for an account or using our assessment portal:

  • to gain access to our assessment portal you will need to register for an account on our website, which will collect additional personal information such as your name, contact details, position, the name of your employer or prospective employer, and whether you want to receive marketing materials regarding product updates and new features; and
  • if you are completing one of our assessments, we will collect your responses (or responses others have provided about you) to each question answered.  Those responses will be used to provide a written summary of your assessment and the complete data set of answers to the company you work for or the company you are applying to;

(c) when you’re communicating with Eudara by email or phone:

  • we may ask for personal details to validate who we are speaking with, in order to engage in a legitimate business transaction or provide technical support to you in your use of our products or services;
  • we may ask for your financial information and payment details, in order to process payment for our products or services;
  • we may solicit your feedback, to improve our business or products; and
  • when you’re applying for a position at Eudara, we may ask for your resume and references, or for you to complete one of our assessments, in order to determine your fit with a position that we are hiring for.

Any personal information we collect may also be used to comply with legal or regulatory requirements or provisions.  We may also use your personal information to protect Eudara from error, breach of contract, infringement, misappropriation, negligence, fraud, and illegal activity.

2. Information Disclosure
Eudara does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, other than to clients who have paid us to perform assessments on a current employee or an individual who is applying for a position at their company.

However, in order to provide our products or services to you, Eudara may disclose your personal information with our affiliates, partners, and suppliers, including:

(a) IT service providers retained by Eudara to perform services on our behalf, including the hosting of various web assets and related services

(b) third-party psychometric test providers, whose testing platforms complement Eudara’s own proprietary testing framework; and

(c) any third-party where disclosure is required or permitted by law to satisfy legal requirements, or to protect our users or our own interests.

Any such transfer is subject to contractual obligations between Eudara and the third-party, such that the information shared with them can only be used as requested and instructed by Eudara.

Eudara may also use or share anonymized information with third-parties, provided such information cannot be used to identify you.  Anonymized data can be used, for example, to establish benchmarks of typical responses by role for our assessment products to help clients with their hiring and personnel development decisions.  The use and disclosure of such anonymized information is not governed by this policy.

3.  Information Storage
Your personal data is stored either at our premises in Canada, or at the premises of our service providers which may not be located in Canada.

Eudara protects your personal data loss, misuse, unauthorized access, and alteration using appropriate technical and organizational measures.  We maintain and amend these technical and organizational measures from time to time to improve the overall security of our systems.  Where we use third-party suppliers to process or store your data on our behalf, we require them by contractual or other means to provide comparable protection as set forth in this policy.

Eudara only retains your personal data as long as it is required for the reasons it was collected or to comply with legal requirements.  After that, we will retain your personal data in an anonymized form only.

4. How You Can Manage Your Own Information
You can opt out of marketing communication at any time. If you are subject to BC PIPA or similar privacy legislation, you have the following rights:

(a) to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data;

(b) to obtain a copy of your personal data;

(c) to request that errors in your personal data be corrected;

(d) to request that all of your personal data be permanently erased

(e) to take legal actions in relation to any breach of your rights regarding the processing of the personal data, as well as to lodge complaints before the competent data protection regulators; and

(f) where the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, to withdraw your consent at any time without impact to data processing activities that have taken place before such withdrawal or to any other existing legal justification of the processing activity in question.

Eudara may not be able to fully comply with your requests as we may need to retain some or all your personal data for legal purposes.  In such cases, Eudara will explain to you the extent to which we are able to comply.

You may object to our processing of your personal information at any time.  If you notify us with the basis of your objection, we will investigate the processing of your personal data and decide whether to adjust the processing accordingly.

5. Links to Third-Party Websites
Our websites and services may have links to other sites not provided by us, including social media sites.  Those sites or services may have different privacy practices and policies than ours.  You should review their privacy policies to determine if they are acceptable to you.  While Eudara is not responsible for those privacy policies and practices, we are responsible for any personal information we collect, use, or disclose on those sites.

6. Policy Changes
This policy is effective as of the effective date below.  Eudara reserves the right to change this policy at any time.  We will take reasonable steps to advise you of any changes to this policy, including by posting the revised policy on our website.  We recommend that you review this policy from time to time to obtain the current version.
